Lach Henderson - Director

As Managing Director of HHH, Lach is a driving force within the commercial world of architecture. Through his practice he strives to achieve buildings that blend with the environmental aspects of the industry and the commercial reality of the world . Lach has diverse experience in multi-residential, commercial, office developments and retail/hospitality related projects.

Alan Hayes - Director
B. Des St B Arch (hons)(UQ), FAIA
Graduating from the University of Queensland with First-Class Honours in 1979, Alan practised on the Gold Coast for 18 months, specialising in fast-track documentation, before taking up the A.E.Brookes Travelling Scholarship. This enabled a 12 month stay in Europe during which he worked with the Halpern Partnership in London. On his return he joined Silver Goldberg Hamilton, working on the Paradise Centre which was at the time the largest urban development project in Australia.
Alan has a particular interest in education projects and the integration of teaching pedagogy into building design.
As Director of HHH, Alan has overseen the company's ongoing relationship with many clients including McDonalds Australia & Emmanuel College and believes these long-term relationships to be the best reference available.
He is an enthuastic supporter of the arts & performing arts and has recently completed a 6-year term as a Director of The Arts Centre Gold Coast.
Aaron Beattie - Director
Aaron began his career in Queensland in the early 1990’s, before travelling overseas to work in Asia, during the Asian Tiger boom period. With over 20 years experience Aaron has worked on projects through-out Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
He has experience in education, multi residential, high rise, retail, shopping centres, commercial and industrial projects.
Aaron was Director / Owner of Northerly Aspect Architects prior to joining HHH & in that role delivered over 60 projects for Education Queensland under the BER, NSP & SSOT programmes.
Nik Mitens - Director

Nik is an experienced designer with an international background. Having lived, studied & worked on 4 continents and travelled to a couple more, Nik has worked on a wide range of projects spanning from master planning & urban design to architecture & interior design.
During more than 10 years working as an architect in London and a couple of years in Sydney, Nik has specialised in conceptualising and delivering innovative design solutions for clients in the Hotel, Resort & Leisure sectors, creating great places for people to stay, relax, dine, indulge or play. Nik has worked continuously with both boutique operators, new and established hotel brands, dedicated to optimising their design & development standards and researching & developing new brands and hospitality concepts for the European market.
Nik’s other key aspiration is to create well-designed homes for people from all walks of life. Working on residential architecture from large, mixed-use regeneration projects for complex urban sites, midrise multi-residential blocks, to lavish single-family dwellings, the focus is always to achieve the best possible homes, perfectly suited to each individual resident.
Ed's design passion for context, economy and delight ensure commercially viable developments of benefit to all users. Five projects for which he was Project Architect have received AIA Awards.
He has a design sensitivity that is backed by over 25 years of extensive building and contract administration experience.
Ed provides excellent creativity & space planning skills all his projects.

Juan undertook his B.Arch. at Norwich University in the USA, majoring in Art Studies including a couple of semesters abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. He recently completed a Master of Urban Planning and Design at Bond University here on the Gold Coast.
As a student Juan actively participated in design competitions such as 2013 Solar Decathlon celebrated in Washington D.C and was a finalist at the PIA Young Planners Innovation Showcase.
He has a keen interest in green and sustainable design approaches for both architectural and urban scale designs and is also actively practicing and involved in sports particularly soccer and surfing.

Megan was recruited by HHH due to her specific Education & Arts experience and expertise, having worked in the Catholic & Independent sectors for over a decade prior to joining HHH in 2007. She has since acted as Team Leader on several projects at Emmanuel College & Somerset College and brings excellent inter-personal skills to the team.
Megan was on the organising committee of the 2012 CEFPI conference held on the Gold Coast. She has extensive experience in interior projects, both as part of various education projects and as a key part of the team for Southern Cross Media & Gold Coast Tourism tenancy fit-outs.

Jevena has recently completed her masters of architecture at the University of Queensland. She has a keen interest in sustainable and passive design strategies, tropical architecture and looks to achieve innovative solutions in functional spaces for the end user.
She has passion for travel and recently spent part of her masters degree at the KTH Royal University of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Here she was actively involved in cross continental architectural design competition using interactive media with the University of Chicago. Other interests include painting, scuba diving, fitness and netball.
Chris' passion for architecture began at an early age which initially lead to completing his Diploma in Building Design through to graduating from Griffith University's Master of Architecture program in 2015.
During his final year of the Master of Architecture course he wrote his dissertation on the rejuvenation of re-use buildings by the architectural method of renovating and building on top to meet the needs of the building user.

Jacqui is currently completing her Masters of Architecture here on the Gold Coast at Griffith University. She joined the HHH team in 2015, contributing to residential and commercial projects of varying scale. Previous experience to her position at HHH has seen her work across different sectors such as residential, hospitality, commercial and aged-care, sparking her interest for sustainable and user oriented design.
Rob has over 20 years experience in residential & commercial design and documentation of projects. At HHH he keeps the CAD systems running smoothly.
Geoff has over thirty five (35) years experience in the Australian construction industry. Geoff is a critical part of our design development and documentation team.
Over his extensive career, Geoff has had experience in many forms of commercial architecture. His strengths lie in the Design Development, Contract Documentation and Contract Administration phase of projects. He has a proven track record of delivering projects with tight budgets and tight deadlines.
Geoff has been with HHH Architects for over 15 years, and has previously worked in Northern Queensland for over a decade. He brings his knowledge of tropical design to our team.
