OUR VISION
hhh architects does not specialise in specialising. We enjoy a large range of commercial and residential sector project types.
hhh architects is an architectural firm based on the Gold Coast, with a satellite office in Mackay. To date we have worked on projects from South-east Queensland, up to Cairns, down through New South Wales, Victoria and across to the Northern Terrority and Western Australia.
Over four decades, we have built a portfolio of projects across multiple sectors that scale from home renovations andadditions, tenancy fit outs and interiors, and commercial through to high rise developments, industrial, health andeducation and aged care. hhh architects offer broad experience, practical servicing and a solution- orientated approachto every design. Our approach is to assist clients in rationalising the design process to formulate the best route to gettingthe project realised. We provide our services throughout any stage of the design from inquisitions to final construction,including undertaking project management roles.
Our team values taking the time to understand the brief and collaborating with the client, appreciating that the designprocess may differ across each design and can be a daunting task without clear and competent direction. hhh architectsare practiced in navigating project undertakings at varying scale and complexities, with sharpened experience inassisting both seasoned clients and those who have not embarked on the process before. Spanning 4 continents and a diverse range of practices, Nik has 20 years’ experience specialising in design and innovation in the hospitality and leisure sector, complex mixed use, commercial and high-density multi-residential projects, as well as landscape and urban design.
Bridging multiple scales of design expertise all the way from master planning to interiors, allows Nik to bring lateral thinking to any project team.

As one of the founders of the practice, Alan has had an extensive career designing some of the Gold Coast’s original high rises and iconic build landmarks. Throughout his career, he has worked on residential, commercial, education, high rise and multi-residential projects.

Like many of our current team members, she brings both leadership and technical expertise to the table. Nathan brings a diverse and uniquely valuable background to our practice. Alongside his architectural qual- ification, he has formal training in Film & Television and experience in marketing, giving him a strong eye for visual communication, storytelling and presentation.
Throughout his architectural studies, Nathan also worked in logistics, developing a practical understanding of operations, coordination and problem-solving in real-world environments.
This blend of creative, technical and hands-on experience enhances his approach to design and project work, making him a versatile and well-rounded member of our team.

Valentia brings a strong international background to our team, joining us from Argentina after spending the past year working in Cairns. She has delivered projects across the commercial, residential, institutional and hotel sectors, developing a well-rounded skill set and an adaptable design approach.
In addition to her local experience, she has completed a number of projects in the United States while work- ing remotely, gaining valuable exposure to different regulatory environments, client expectations and archi- tectural standards.
Valentia’s global perspective, technical capability and proven ability to collaborate across borders make her a valuable addition to our growing team.

Mikayla is an emerging interior designer who brings a fresh, contemporary design perspective supported by strong academic training. Recently completing her university degree, she has developed a solid grounding in spatial plan- ning, materiality, and user-centred design. While early in her professional career, Mikayla has already demonstrated an aptitude for thoughtful design solutions, clear communication, and collaborative teamwork.
She is enthusiastic about contributing to project delivery across concept development, documentation, and FF&E selection, and is committed to growing her technical capability under the guidance of senior team members. Mikayla brings positive energy, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn, making her a valuable addition to the team.
