April 22nd 2018 Media Story from Study Gold Coast

Considered to be one the first purpose designed autism-specific schools in QLD Josiah College is an initiative created by Emmanuel College a private Gold Coast school with Principle Patrick Innes-Hill driving the concept.

Classrooms are designed to house eights students and respond to their specific needs by providing flexible furnishings, withdrawal spaces and soft lighting via south facing high level windows and softly frosted glass. 

Principle Patrick Innes-Hill “ Children with Autism deserve to thrive as much as any other child does. Children with Autism adults with Autism they are wonderful people with incredible gifts….:” 

His desire is to see the model rolled out across Australia.
