The right architecture can inspire creativity and imagination in the next generation. Education architecture requires thoughtful analysis of teaching pedagogy, practical needs, spatial context, outlook, orientation and above all the physical embodiment of the school ethos and aspirations. We bring our experience and expertise to bear in order to ensure that project resolutions are poetic rather than merely pragmatic. Form and proportion, colour and texture, light and shade, materials and massing must all combine to provide the elusive X-factor. We will provide it. In education, in particular, the spaces between buildings can be as important as the buildings themselves. Thorough analysis and a considered response to these spaces adds long-term value at minimal cost.
HHH Architects have designed and delivered projects for many educational and
child care facilities in South East Queensland, NSW and as far south as Sydney from our Gold Coast base. With each successful project, we demonstrate our expertise and unique intuition for what young people and their mentors need from their surroundings. Working with public bodies, private schools, child care developers and operators we strive to understand the key objectives of all stakeholders and achieve successful outcomes delivered on time and on budget.
The design of quality learning environments requires a high level of skill, research and consultation. However, complex issues like funding procurement, design scenario mapping, process planning, health and safety or quality compliance that need consideration when building or renovating in a school, higher education or childcare facility shouldn’t get in the way of designing buildings to stimulate children’s personal development and excitement. Our commitment to these components is what enables us to meet the specific needs of children and complement the philosophy of educators.
Our approach to educational architecture is always focused on meeting the needs of today while predicting the demands of tomorrow. HHH designs are innovative and we integrate new technologies wherever possible. We consider the environment in our development process, and we also consider your long-term plans. If you expect to grow further in the coming years, we’re keen for our architecture to nurture that growth rather than hindering it. We offer campus master planning to assist with staged development and maintenance plans.
