The futuristic Cult Industries Showrooms were designed to reinforce the company’s brand as well as to establish a strong visual presence within the busy Burleigh retail precinct. Two towers marked the entrance to the showroom, united by the Cult cross logo that was on continuous rotation – this statement made the showroom one of the most distinctive commercial establishments on the Gold Coast. Polished concrete and compressed bamboo flooring was used throughout the showroom, as well as custom made retail displays, reception counter and carved timber doors. Underground water tanks and catchment facility ensures that the large footprint still contributes to water conservation and recycling. The flagship store was intended to awe, achieving this with an indoor plunge pool, catwalk, bar, and catering facilities, ensuring that all visitors were immersed into the Cult identity. Corporate management was facilitated with a series of informal meet and greet spaces, offices, and a formal boardroom equipped with the finest conferencing capabilities for over 40 executives. The building has since undergone exterior retrofit to house Element headquarters and later it was home to Surfstitch.
