Kingscliff Beach Hotel

Built in 1932, the two-storey nondescript structure of the Kingscliff Beach Hotel suffered over the past 80 years from insensitive additions. The result being that all ground floor spaces were dark and felt disconnected from the street. Although well frequented by locals, visitors were not inclined to venture in. The hotel’s trade was heavily focused on drinking patrons. The hotel was transformed in 2014 by major renovations as well as a new bistro bar and alfresco dining areas on the adjacent empty lot. This new beer garden space is contained within a courtyard which via extensive bi-fold glazing, gains cooling sea breezes, and the flexibility to be closed off for live music events. Upstairs now houses a light and breezy function room and private bar with beautiful ocean views. The final outcome is a venue with focus on food and atmosphere as well as beverages and gaming, which is loved by locals and visitors alike. Kingscliff Beach Hotel is now a family friendly destination which people will travel to frequent. HHH Architects design has allowed our client’s venue to flourish into a multifaceted destination and increased their turnover by multiples.
